Welcome to the new NCEF Green Schools webpage where you will find a compilation of current news, events, recent journal articles, recommended publications, and more on topics related to green schools. STIMULUS FUNDING FOR SCHOOL CONSTRUCTION See this NCEF webpage for information on stimulus funding and tax credit bonds for school construction, modernization, renovation, and repair in the American Recovery and Reinvestment Act of 2009. Seismic Design and Retrofit for Schools This is NCEF's resource list compiling references to books, documents, articles, related websites, and videos on assessment, design, and retrofit of schools to resist earthquakes. Haiti Schools Rebuilding Initiative The Council of Educational Facility Planners International and Schools for the Children of the World are establishing a relief effort to help in the rebuilding of damaged and destroyed schools in Haiti. The first priority is to create a database of volunteers to participate in a Haiti Task Force to formulate strategies on how to best help in the recovery process. |
